Bath Banjo Fest is here again, June
27-29 2008. See Events page.
Danielle Saxon Reeves & Douglas Back
are on tour from Friday 4th July 08. Get further information via our
link page.
We are constantly seeking different styles of banjo playing,
particularly the Tenor banjo. If you are, or know of a proficient
tenor
banjo player who may be willing to come along & entertain us for 15
minutes at Bretby , please contact us.
Currently we are in the process of having the MBF 08 ‘Flyer’ leaflets
designed & printed. At last years MBF, quite a number of you
volunteered to hand out leaflets at your local banjo club / events &
to your friends. If anyone would be prepared to do so, please contact - Reg Stranks.
MBF Supporter JOHN CEASER

From time
to time we will feature one of our loyal MBF supporters. To begin with we
have selected John Ceaser from Wyke, near Bradford, West
Yorkshire.
To my knowledge, John has attended all MBF events since I took control.
Maybe even some prior to that. At 75 years young, John is an avid
aficionado of the banjo and (as you can see) the banjouke & ukulele. Not
being a car driver, every year John jumps on the train, (involving quite
a number of changes), finally by taxi to Bretby.
Whilst John enjoys all aspects of the MBF, his hero's in the banjo world
are 'David Price' & 'Shep' who he enjoys the company of whilst staying at
the BCC. I understand from recent mail from John, that he is
practising hard on the chords for his favourite part of the show, the
finale grand bash! Well done John, long may you carry on. Now you
all know who he is.
